With my coyote Mustang.

Ever scene we got it we thought this grinding noise was just the brakes under hard braking cause they were newish....well it turns out thats not the case at all. It could be something a lot worse. like its bad grinding noise slowing from 20-0. Anyoneelse have a Coyote GT or know of this issue?

does the sound come from a particular corner?

Is it clunky feeling and does it happen around corners?

Could be differential slop or someone forgot to add limited slip fluid.

I can feel it through the pedal and it alternates sides

Nope just under braking around corners the trans is holding up fine.

Have you checked the pads? A caliper could be sticking.

I've never really heard or something like this and it's hard to diagnose without actually hearing it.

If they're used moderately aggressively, 52,000 miles could be the entire life of the pads and/or rotors. Pop a wheel off, see how thick the pads are and make sure the rotors are smooth.

You may be able to get your hand in there with the wheel on... but how is where you live relevant? Even if you're in a parking lot where maintenance is prohibited, it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes... and if anyone asks just tell them you had a flat tire.

I used the flat tire excuse once when I was putting a beefier sway bar on my Jeep. When the parking officer asked why I was underneath, I said I thought I noticed a brake fluid leak and was just going over all the connections to make sure they were tight, for safety's sake. Then I started talking about the differences between DOT 3 and DOT 4 brake fluid. His eyes kinda glassed over, and then he asked me to hurry up with the tire and walked away. Obviously that won't always work ;)

Ya there is a local Oppo but he's about an hour away but there might be closer that I don't know of yet.

I know with the Stratus and M3 if I turned full-lock I can get a decent view of the caliper/pads.Try that if jacking it isn't practical.

put a glove on and run your finger across the face of the rotor on the inside and out(if you can) make sure it's semi smooth. Small ripples are ok, any large gouges will be a big problem.

Is it only under hard braking?

Ya only under braking does it make that noise
